TEACHING AND OUTREACH
2009 Volunteer design teacher for Grand Street Community Arts’ ‘Vacant Lot Project’. Taught 4
High School teens from Albany’s underserved neighborhoods about public art, helped them develop their design ideas for a vacant lot, organized lectures by self and visiting speakers and arranged field trips to museums and sculpture parks. 2009- present Volunteer art teacher for Gilda’s Club, Latham NY. Teach groups of 8 to 20 kids between
the ages of 4 and 12, design material and activity for each class. (See www.gccrny.org/)
ARCHITECTURE WORK EXPERIENCE
2004-2008 KOHN PEDERSEN FOX ASSOCIATES, NEW YORK, NY
Project: Kowloon Tower (ICC), Hong Kong. A 1,500 feet mixed use tower with unique shingled glass skin. Tallest building in Hong Kong and an icon marking a gateway into the city.
Experience: curtain wall (exterior skin) design and interior design of the lobby spaces. Interaction with clients in Hong Kong and onsite coordination of design and construction of the tower.
Project: Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital, Stanford, Palo Alto. Hospital and Clinics facility.
Experience: schematic design of 56,000 sf Clinics facility and underground parking structure. 2D and 3D computer modeling and design of landscape, geometry, structure and building systems.
